Promote Prevent Perspectives is a new way for the National Center for Mental Health Promotion and Youth Violence Prevention to stay in touch with the people we serve and to reach out to individuals and organizations that share a common concern for the well-being of children.

Our goal is to help schools and communities create safe, healthy places where children learn, play, and grow. We will regularly post news, the latest research, and practical advice from our experts on a wide variety of child and youth wellness and education topics, including:

  • children’s mental health
  • school discipline
  • youth substance abuse prevention
  • disparities
  • bullying & youth violence prevention
  • early childhood education
  • school attendance & truancy
  • school climate & school engagement
  • evidence-based programs and practices

Promote Prevent Perspectives is available through email, RSS feed, and online. We hope that you will participate by providing your thoughts on these topics by commenting on posts. We also welcome suggestions by email on how to make Promote Prevent Perspectives a useful resource to support you in your work to enrich and improve our schools and communities. You can email them to us at info@promoteprevent.org.
