Topical Call: Exploring Traditional Healing, Alternative Approaches, and Complementary Paths to Wellness: A Conversation with Project LAUNCH Grantees

Date/Time (ET):
February 13, 2012 - 4:00pm - 5:30pm

We are sensitive to the many different ways people health and promote wellness. They may be using traditional remedies and approaches, participating in faith-based and worship practices; engaging in spiritual practices; and seeking a number of other complementary forms. Alternative approaches beyond mainstream health care services exist and may be used to promote the wellness of young children and families. This sharing session provides grantees with an opportunity to discuss and consider strategies for engaging families that may find their health and wellness supported by methods commonly outside the mainstream medical paradigm and to potentially connect them to core Program LAUNCH strategies in complementary ways.
