Conference Call on National Children's Mental Health Awareness Day

Date/Time (ET):
February 3, 2010 - 1:00pm - 2:00pm

This conference call with SAMHSA officials is for Project LAUNCH grantees to learn about how their Project LAUNCH programs can benefit from this fifth annual national SAMHSA-sponsored event. In 2008, 56 local communities and many states used National Children's Mental Health Awareness Day to reach important partner organizations, families, and the general public to raise awareness about the importance of children's mental health as part of overall wellness. For 2010 and 2011, the Awareness Day Campaign focuses on early childhood. The key message: positive mental health is essential to a child's healthy development from birth.

The conference call details specifics about how Project LAUNCH grantees can hold or co-sponsor community-based events, tailor social media campaigns for their state or community, or participate in the Nationwide Art Action and the Post NOW E-viral campaign.
