Ensuring the Seventh Generation: A Youth Suicide Prevention Toolkit for Tribal Child Welfare Programs

This toolkit is designed to educate tribal child welfare workers about the warning signs of suicide, risk and protective factors, suicide prevention and intervention methods, and when to seek professional mental health services. It also contains background reading on the issue of suicide in Indian Country and the use of cultural approaches to prevention and community healing. The toolkit is designed for child welfare and mental health programs focused on victims of abuse, children in out-of-home care, and witnesses of violence.
