The NSDUH Report: Major Depressive Episode and Treatment Among Adolescents

This report provides information about the prevalence of major depressive episodes among adolescents and their subsequent rates of treatment. Rates of treatment are provided for uninsured youth and for youth covered by Medicaid/CHIP or private insurance. This report is based on data from SAMHSA's National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH), which collected data from a representative sample of approximately 22,000 adolescents throughout the U.S.
