SS/HS Project Directors' Consortia July 2011

Date/Time:
July 13, 2011 (All day)
Location:
Washington, DC
Led By:
National Center for Mental Health Promotion and Youth Violence Prevention

This Project Directors' Consortia meeting is held in conjunction with the Communication University. Sessions will address topics/tracks provided by Project Directors (PDs), with input from technical assistance staff, PDs, and consultants. The meeting allows Project Directors from 2007, 2008, and 2009 SS/HS sites to meet and learn from each other’s experiences. Technical Assistance Specialists and Communication Specialists are available to work closely with individual Project Directors to apply what they are learning to their own sites.

The Project Directors Consortium will be held on July 13, 2011, at the same location and is a recommended training event. This 1-day conference will speak to important and challenging aspects of the SS/HS initiative that have been identified by SS/HS project directors, technical assistance specialist staff, and Federal Project officers. We recognize that SS/HS project directors can learn from each other’s experiences. At this conference, technical assistance specialist staff will work closely with individual project directors to apply what they are learning to their own sites. The conference format will be small-group sessions with a focus on best practices, including multiple opportunities for interacting with peers. Breakout sessions will include one or more SS/HS project directors presenting information about lessons learned and successful work at their site.
