Connecting Social and Emotional Learning with Mental Health

This publication discusses mental health and the importance of social and emotional learning (SEL) in school systems to improve the academic outcomes and success of students. It outlines strategies for school administration and teaching staff to connect mental health with school-wide social and emotional learning programming.  To support school-wide efforts, this document emphasizes the importance of public policies that aim to enhance the mental health of students as well as partnership with mental health providers.
