Project Summary : The Gage County Safe Schools/Healthy Students Project creates safe and healthy environments by increasing access to mental health services and addressing issues including safe school environments; mental health promotion; drug and alcohol prevention; and early childhood education. Project activities include a summer reading program, mental health counseling, school security equipment enhancement, crisis response training, a social skills curriculum, the Home Visits for Gage County Newborns program, a crib and car seat loaner program, and an 8th Grade Health Day.
