Roxane Kaufmann
Ms. Kaufmann is a team leader on the Project LAUNCH Technical Assistance Team. She is also the director of Early Childhood Policy, Georgetown University Center for Child and Human Development. During the past 25 years on faculty at Georgetown, she has been a strong advocate for the development of integrated services, supports, and systems for young children and their families. As part of the Project LAUNCH TA Team, Ms. Kaufmann plays a leadership role in supporting the work of states and communities in developing early childhood mental health systems of care through strategic planning, targeted TA, and materials development. She is also part of the Center for the Social and Emotional Foundations of Early Learning, a consortium funded by the Administration for Children and Families to provide T/TA to early childhood and mental health providers. She has directed T/TA initiatives for many programs, such as Head Start, child care, maternal and child health, child welfare, mental health, education, public health, and special education. She has published extensively on early intervention in the context of systems development. In addition, she developed curricula and provided T/TA to 28 countries from eastern Europe and central Asia in support of their education reform efforts. Ms. Kaufmann has a master’s degree in infant and early childhood special education from George Washington University.
