Ms. Macheca provides research and writing support for the Center. She writes the Research Note for the Center’s monthly e-newsletter, synthesizing relevant research from the field for grantees. She also manages acquisitions to the Center’s online library, conducting monthly meetings with a team of Technical Assistance Specialists and Research Assistants from the Center to review the latest resources from the field. After resources have been approved, she writes summaries and adds resources to the library.Additionally, she assisted with the development of two SS/HS Evaluation Monographs, where she conducted interviews with SS/HS project directors, performed literature searches, and wrote site summaries.  Ms. Macheca has served as Research Assistant with HHD’s Center for School and Community Health Programs for the past decade, assisting in product and website development, providing curriculum information to educators, and coordinating training activities. Ms. Macheca received her B.A. in Child Development from Tufts University.
