The Center on Juvenile & Criminal Justice (CJCJ) provides direct services, technical assistance, and policy research. CJCJ provides technical assistance services to state and local juvenile justice jurisdictions on such issues as alternatives to detention, disproportionate minority confinement, reentry, girl-specific services, and blended funding strategies. CJCJ offers a number of policy and research publications on its Web site, including Detention Diversion Advocacy: An Evaluation and Barriers and Promising Approaches to Workforce and Youth Development for Young Offenders. The Web site also offers a number of case studies, including “Reducing Disproportionate Minority Confinement: The Multnomah County Oregon Success Story.”

Federal Youth Court Program (http://www.youthcourt.net/)
The Federal Youth Court Program provides information, training, technical assistance, and other resources on creating and enhancing youth court programs. The YouthCourt Web site includes online training lessons, audio and video teleconferences, information on obtaining youth court training from the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, and publications on such topics as program development, volunteer training, evaluation, and research.

The Juvenile Justice Evaluation Center Online is a project of the Justice Research & Statistics Association, funded by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, U.S. Department of Justice. This Web site includes the following resources:

• Publications about evaluating juvenile justice projects, including Evaluability Assessment: Examining the Readiness of a Program for Evaluation, Incorporating Evaluation Into the Request for Proposal (RFP) Process, and Strategies for Evaluating Small Juvenile Justice Programs

National Center on Education, Disability, and Juvenile Justice (http://www.edjj.org/training/index.html)
The National Center on Education, Disability, and Juvenile Justice (EDJJ) provides technical assistance and training to agencies, organizations, professionals, and parents to assist in the design and delivery of programs and services for youth whose needs cross the boundaries of traditional child-serving agencies, to help agencies serve youth with educational disabilities and deficits, and to improve educational outcomes and opportunities for court-involved youth. Publications offered on its Web site include A Summary of Best Practices in School Reentry for Incarcerated Youth Returning Home, Youth with Disabilities in the Juvenile Justice System: Prevention and Intervention Strategies, and Promoting Family Involvement.

The National Center for Juvenile Justice (NCJJ) offers technical assistance and conducts research on juvenile justice. The NCJJ Web site features publications on such topics as aftercare, best practices, intervention services, information sharing/confidentiality, status offenders, schools, and prevention.

National Criminal Justice Reference Service (http://www.ncjrs.gov/ )
The National Criminal Justice Reference Service (NCJRS) is funded and administered by the U.S. Department of Justice. The NCJRS Web site offers resources, grants and funding, juvenile justice events, and a substantial number of publications on juvenile justice, which can be found in the Juvenile Justice section of the site.

National Youth Violence Prevention Resource Center (http://www.safeyouth.org/)
The National Youth Violence Prevention Resource Center provides information on youth violence and related issues. The Center’s SafeYouth Web site includes resources on training, technical assistance, and funding. Materials available on the Web site include publications on after-school programs, bullying, juvenile courts, juvenile delinquency, juvenile justice, juvenile mentoring, mental health, school programs, school safety, and violence in schools.

Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention National Training and Technical Assistance Center

The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) National Training and Technical Assistance Center (NTTAC) supports OJJDP programs and initiatives, including the SS/HS Initiative. The Web site features a database of training and technical assistance providers funded by OJJDP that may be available to assist your initiative. The Web site also features a calendar of upcoming conferences and training events and resources on locating funding. The Web site also offers curricula in a variety of topic areas, including aftercare, justice-involved female youth, drug prevention, and evaluation. Topics of the publications available on this Web site include juvenile delinquency and delinquency prevention, juvenile courts, mental health and substance abuse, and school safety.
