Communications Toolkit available on promoteprevent.org

Communication strategies are important elements to program success and sustainability. We designed a communications toolkit to help TCE and YVPP grantees think through the main ingredients of communications planning. If you’d like more information about communications or how the communications toolkit fits in with your program, please contact your Technical Assistance Specialist. To access the communications toolkit, go to http://www.promoteprevent.org/resources/communications_toolkit/index.htm.

And for a great example of how to use communications to ensure a program’s success, please see the Grantees at Work story below.

The National Center for Mental Health and Juvenile Justice (NCMHJJ) was established in 2001 to promote awareness of the mental health needs of youth in the juvenile justice system and to assist the field in developing improved policies and programs. Available resources include:
• Resource kits
• Online trainings
• A comprehensive database of available research and information
• A compendium of effective and innovative programs and policies
• A list of experts and technical assistance resources

To find out more about NCMHJJ or to access the resources, visit http://www.ncmhjj.com/.

The Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health (FFCMH) is a national family-run organization dedicated to helping children with mental health needs and their families achieve a better quality of life. FFCMH provides a variety of publications, including fact sheets on involving families in policy group work, and family guides to the child welfare system and to systems of care for children with mental health needs. FFCMH also has a Federation Training Program, which includes trainings on family and community involvement, and on using data for systems change.

To find out more about FFCMH or to access the resources, visit http://www.ffcmh.org/.

Reminder: Evidence-Based Intervention Fact Sheets are available on promoteprevent.org
These fact sheets provide overviews of 17 EBIs most commonly used by National Center Grantees. For more information about EBIs, please contact your Technical Assistance Specialist. To access the Fact Sheets, visit http://www.promoteprevent.org/publications/evidence_based/.
